Jaw Crusher Rack Common Failure Analysis

Jaw crusher is a necessary equipment for mineral processing plant, milling process, crushing process, etc. The normal operation of jaw crusher plays an important role in the entire process. The frame of the jaw crusher is made of a rigid material and the production process is complex. Here we will analyze the failures and release methods that often occur during the operation of the jaw crusher rack.
Fault one: The chassis is cracked.
Cause: This phenomenon is generally caused by the following seven reasons:
(1) Jaw crusher in the production of casting technology or welding is not in place caused by the quality of the equipment itself;
(2) The material selection of the elbow plate and the elbow plate pad is unqualified and cannot withstand the huge impact force. It cannot play the role of cushioning and self protection in the impact, but the frame is damaged or broken.
(3) The fixed jaw plate is not fixed enough during installation, and it loosens in the vibration generated by the jaw crusher for a long time, thus hitting the front wall of the rack and causing damage to the frame;
(4) The base rigidity of the equipment base is not fixed, causing rack bouncing;
(5) The bolts of the rack bearings are not tightened during installation and loosening occurs;
(6) There is no timely maintenance after tooth wear;
(7) The misalignment of the weight of the flight wheel is caused by the damage of the eccentric shaft, the pin, or loosening of the sleeve.
Troubleshooting method:
(1) Find out where the original crack is located, and repair it by welding. If failure cannot be solved, replace the new rack in time;
(2) Replace the brackets and replace the brackets and brackets at the same time to ensure that the two are compatible with the rack;
(3) After the rack is repaired or replaced, the gear plate bolts must be fixed; and the bottom bolts of the rack must be tightened to correct the level;
(4) Check the jaw plate and find that there is wear and tear that needs to be replaced;
(5) Replace the pin or adjust the direction of the eccentric block to tighten the expansion sleeve.
Fault 2: The rear of the rack produces a knocking sound.
There are three reasons:
(1) The lever is not tightened or the looseness caused by the working and running vibration during the installation causes the elbow plate to strike the jaw and adjust the seat’s elbow pad to make an abnormal sound;
(2) The sound produced by friction between the lever and the lower hook of the jaw;
(3) When the machine is running, the spring and the spring seat near the rack hit each other and make a sound.
Troubleshooting method:
(1) Tighten the tie rods and check for looseness from time to time;
(2) to ensure that the spring elasticity, can not fail, if you want to replace the flaw immediately, and pay attention to tighten the lever and the spring to prevent friction or impact;
(3) Pay attention to the installation position of the spring seat during installation, and at the same time, take into consideration that the tension rod nut is in a reasonable position.
Fault 3: The jaws of the jaw crusher racks are severely beaten.
Cause of the fault:
(1) Bolts located at the foot of the equipment are loosened or broken under the action of long-term vibration of the equipment;
(2) Deviation of fly and sheave weights;
(3) The equipment base is not stable or shockproof.
Troubleshooting method:
(1) Re-tighten the anchor bolts or replace them with new ones to strengthen the stability of the anchor bolts;
(2) Adjust the position of the flyweights and sheaves weights in time, and then tightly tighten the bolts and other components;
(3) Add cushions or rubbers to the mechanical equipment to reinforce the foundation and strengthen the shockproof function to prevent the rack from bouncing.
